Everything you need to know about the Fourth in East Troy

Locals will ring in the nation’s birthday this week with the East Troy Lions Club Fourth of July Celebration. The Lions are bringing back the Independence Day staple to the East Troy community for the 78th year.


The event will start on Thursday, July 2 and run through Sunday, July 5 at the East Troy Amusement Park, 3072 Graydon Ave., next to the East Troy Lions Public Library.

All four days will feature multiple food stands, a carnival and the largest beer tent in the area with live entertainment every night. There will be a huge fireworks display at dark on Friday, July 3.

The carnival will include wristbands Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Carnival wristbands are available for $20 at the festival or $16 in advance at Gus's Drive-In, 3131 Main St., Citizens Bank (inside Piggly Wiggly, 3238 W Main St.) and Citizens Bank East Brook Office, 2541A E. Main St. Megabands (for unlimited rides during operating times) are available for $40 in advance and $50 at the festival. Ride tickets are $1 each or 30 for $25.

The East Troy Beer Tent hours are Thursday from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m., Friday 3 p.m. to 1 a.m., Saturday from noon to 1 a.m. and Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. Admission to the ETBT is $5 and a designated driver program will be available.

Saturday, July 4

9 a.m. to 2 p.m.: East Troy Lions 14th annual car show, staffed by the Kettle Moraine Classic Car Club, 3143 Graydon Ave. The event includes a 50/50 raffle and door prizes. Noon.: Truck and Tractor Pulls at 2021 West St. Midwest Tractor & Truck Pulls, including Super Stock trucks and tractors, lite/combo and altered farm tractors, pro street gas and diesel trucks, pullers and more. 8:15 p.m. to 12:15 a.m.: Oil Can Harry will perform at the ETBT.

Sunday, July 5

11:30 a.m.: Register for the annual East Troy Lions ETBT Ride, beginning at Gus’s Drive-In, 3131 Main St. Ride leaves at 12:30 p.m.

1 to 5 p.m.: Carnival Midway

1 p.m.: The East Troy parade with theme, “Remember Our Past and Look to the Future,” will begin at the corner of Main and West streets and travel east to the Village Square, north on Division Street, west on Elm Street, south on Beulah Avenue and west on Graydon Avenue.

2 to 7 p.m.: The Poor Boys will perform at the ETBT.

6 p.m.: The East Troy Lions Club raffle winner will be announced in the ETBT. Enter for your chance to win a 2015 Harley Davidson or 2015 Polaris Ranger, or 2015 Chevy Spark or $12,000 cash. Second prize is $600 and third prize is $300 and fourth prize is $100. Tickets are available at Rhode's Towing, Gus's Drive-In or from any Lions Club member. Tickets are limited.
