The East Troy Community School District will host SmartLab open houses on Wednesday, Oct. 5 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Prairie View Elementary School, 2131 Townline Road, and from 7:15 to 8 p.m. at East Troy Middle School, 3143 Graydon Ave. East Troy is the first school district in the state to implement SmartLabs, a fully integrated learning environment in which manipulatives, technology, curriculum, assessment and more all work together to provide practical hands on learning opportunities for students. The event will feature on overview of the elementary and middle school SmartLabs, grade-level STEAM activities, interactive SmartLab led by students, Classroom Connections presentation and robotic and 3D printing.
