Food Drive

The kids at the Family Resource Center are going to be doing a Food Drive May 4 through May 8, 2009 to help stock the East Troy Food Pantry, which is currently feeding over 110 families each month (up 40% over last year) and is in need of donations.  They are selecting one neighborhood in the community, making flyers, handing the flyers and bags out for food collection and then picking up and delivering the food to the Food Pantry on May 11, 2009.

 

Marolyn Komperud program director will pick up all the collected food between noon and 3:00 p.m. on May 8, 2009.  Items that the food pantry is particularly in need of are:  laundry soap, dish soap, paper towels, Hamburger Helper, pudding, jello, flour, sugar, canned potatoes and corn, juice, cooking oil, pancake mix and instant potatoes.
