Presents a Menu of Education & Inspiration
March 6 & 7, 2015
Come for the connection and education, stay for the information and inspiration at the Women’s Resource Fair, to be hosted at the Geneva Ridge Resort, W4240 State Road 50, Lake Geneva, Wis. on Friday, March 6 from 1 – 7 p.m. and Saturday, March 7 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Celebrating its 11th year, the Women's Resource Fair Walworth County will feature over 60 exhibiting practitioners, organizations and businesses and over 15 educational lectures in the areas of Alternative Health & Wellness, Holistic Products, Organic Foods & Nutrition, Green Home & Healthy Life, Bodywork & Movement and Education & Empowerment. Presenting sponsors for this year’s event include: Wisconsin Public Radio, Mercy Health System, Lake Geneva Country Meats and Geneva Ridge Resort. The public is invited to attend. Tickets for the event are $10, which includes two-day access to all booths, educational lectures and documentary viewing. Admission benefits the United Way of Walworth County. MARCH 7 MAIN DISHES
10:30 AM: Getting Fit with Food Author, Shana Conradt
Shana Conradt is the published author of Getting Fit with Food as well as a chef, weight loss consultant and speaker, but most of all, she is an outspoken advocate of education when it comes to food, weight loss and life in general. Shana also has had the privilege of working with Kristin Steede, a contestant on Season 7 of NBC’s The Biggest Loser.
12:30 PM: Cooking Demonstration:
Discover How to Feed a Crowd without Spending a Fortune in “Half Price Gourmet” Presented by Nick Vorpagel from Lake Geneva Country Meats. Nick, a third generation butcher shop owner, will share his tricks on how to prepare budget priced sirloin steaks that can easily feed any size gathering. When the steaks are finished, you'll have a steakhouse quality meal without the steakhouse price. Sampling included!
2:00 PM: Fed Up
Stephanie Soechtig's documentary Fed Up, narrated by Katie Couric, presents the case that the food industry and the government have acted together in order to change the eating habits of America in a way that has led to widespread obesity in children. For more information, visit www.fedupmovie.com.

FRIDAY NIGHT WINE TASTING & SPA NIGHT
Visit the Women’s Resource Fair from 5 -7 p.m. on Friday, March 6 and get pampered! Visit a variety of booths offering spa services, chair massage and sample skin care products all while enjoying a sample of organic wine. The Spa Night is presented by Jasmine Salon & Spa. A donation is suggested to participate, which benefits the United Way of Walworth County. The United Way of Walworth County provides funding to 45 Walworth County non-profit agencies.
