Job seekers looking for a job in manufacturing are invited to attend the Walworth County Manufacturing Job Fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, at Walworth County Job Center, 400 County Rd. H, in the South Building at Gateway Technical College in Elkhorn.

"This job fair is in response to recent layoffs at Erik Buell Racing (EBR) and other companies. Many of the companies that are hiring asked if there was a way to reach out to those from EBR as well as others who recently lost their jobs," according to Rick Heine, Business Services, Walworth County Job Center. 

There is no charge to attend and all job seekers are invited, but will need to pre-register.

Stop in at the Walworth County Job Center (WCJC) for assistance in getting registered. Job Center personnel will also help you prepare or update your resume, give you tips for a successful interview, and provide other services to help you get hired. Resource Room hours in Elkhorn, where you can utilize all of the equipment needed to reach employers, are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The job center can also provide an updated list of employers that will be attending. Current companies planning to participate include Anderson Machining Service Inc., Brunk Industries, Echo Lake Foods, LDV Inc., MicroPrecision, MPC, Pinnacle Foods, Prop Shaft Supply, R&L Spring/Medicoil, Serta Simmons Manufacturing LLC, and Synerject.
