STEAM Expo

The East Troy Community School District will host the 2015 STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) Expo from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24.
The family-friendly event will feature fun and learning for all ages, including exhibits, demonstrations, activities and workshops. Try out a 3D pen, make a kaleidoscope, drive a robot, see how 3D printers work, learn about circuitry and aerodynamics, create a bridge design, learn about the science of color, make a kite, learn how to make huge bubbles and more. Admission is free.
Presentations:
11 a.m.- Science teacher, author and presenter Larry Scheckel brings an entertaining and engrossing hour of science demonstrations with frequent audience volunteers
10 a.m. and 1 p.m.- Veteran science teacher Paul Shedivy will make science seem like magic when he performs sometimes practical but always fun demonstrations
2 p.m.- School of Architecture and Urban Planning from UW-Milwaukee will have a dynamic, hands-on workshop for all ages
