East Troy Snap Fitness, 2541 E. Main St., is hosting a benefit “Seeing for Lelyn” on Saturday, Sept. 12 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
A pig roast begins at 11 a.m. as well as live entertainment, including U B The Band (interactive band equipment for children of all ages) and Good Ol’ Boys (country band). The event will also feature raffles, silent auction and face painting.
Lelyn James Schmidt was born on Feb. 15, 2013 with an extremely rare genetic disorder called Anophthalmia (where both of his eyes did not form). The event will help Leyln's family cover unexpected expenses and therapy toys he needs to live a healthy life. The family travels to Milwaukee for Lelyn's needs which include, vision therapist, occularist, pediatric ophthalmologist, physical therapies and to Marshfield for his audiologist.
