Flower Farming at Michael Fields

Michael Fields Agricultural Institute, W2493 County Road ES, will host a Flower Farming workshop from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday, Jan. 22. The workshop is designed to help new and beginning growers learn the ins and outs of producing and marketing cut flowers. 

Learn from experienced growers, Andrea Clemens and Emily Watson, about cut flower variety selection, seed starting, planting schedules, harvest and post-harvest handling and marketing. Clemens is the owner of Lovelight Flowers, a petite floral design studio and flower farm in East Troy. Watson is the owner of Stems Cut Flowers and Wood Violet MKE, a small flower farm in East Troy and design studio in Milwaukee.
