The East Troy Lions Library, 3094 Graydon, will travel back in time and experience the Civil War firsthand at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 23 as renowned performer Judy Cook entertains with Civil War-era songs and excerpts from her book "A QUIET CORNER OF THE WAR: The Civil War Letters of Gilbert and Esther Claflin," her great-great-grandparents, an Oconomowoc farming family. Civil war songs and fascinating images take the audience back to home and camp life in an extraordinary time, 1862-1863. A Q&A and an opportunity to purchase her book will follow the presentation. This event is free and open to the public. For more information, call (262) 642-6262.
