The East Troy Lions Public Library, 3094 Graydon Ave., will host Preschool Story time on Fridays at 11:00 a.m. This weeks story will feature," How to Babysit a Grandma" by Jean Reagan and will offer a special activity for children and grandparents. Preschool story time is geared towards children ages 18 months to 4 years of age, although younger and older siblings and friends are always welcome to participate. It is a great way to introduce young children to an age-appropriate "school" environment, and all the skills that help young children function in such an environment, such as sharing materials with others. It is also a great way to encourage pre-literacy skills such as "print motivation" (thinking that books and reading are fun) and "print awareness" (recognizing print and understanding how books work. Preschool story times are "drop-in," no registration needed. For more information, call (262) 642-6262
