Kettle Moraine Land Trust will present Meet the Monarchs! for the second year at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 19 at Price Park, N6421 Hodunk Road, East Troy. The program is suitable for people of all ages.

Visitors will learn the lifecycle of the Monarch butterfly with interactive experiences at four stations, and then choose a treat for the butterflies. Upon entering the secured tent, butterflies will come to eat the treats from the visitors’ hands.

New this year is native planting in the park. Visitors will be guided through planting flowers for butterflies and other pollinators in the grassy area near the shelter.

There will be an optional guided hike through Price Park, featuring rolling hills along a mile and a half wooded footpath. The hike is a great way to learn about all the features in the park. Comfortable walking shoes and bug spray are recommended.

Admittance to Meet the Monarchs! is free to Kettle Moraine Land Trust members, with a suggested donation of $5 for non-members.

Registration is required. Register at the Kettle Moraine Land Trust website:www.kmlandtrust.org or the KMLT Facebook page.

Special Thanks to Wisconsin Oven Corporation, our longest standing member of over 47 years.
