St. James Health, Wellness & Safety Fair

St. James United Methodist Church, 2945 Main St., East Troy, will host a free Health, Wellness and Safety Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13.
Safety representatives, including Village of East Troy Police Chief Jeremy Swendrowski, Village of East Troy Police Officer Jeff Price and Deputy Dan Nelson of the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office will be leading Active Shooter Response Training (adopted from the Civilian Response to Active Shooters Events course) from 10:10 to 11:30 a.m. and again from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in the Sanctuary.
The Fellowship Hall will feature a variety of professionals from the area with booths pertaining to health and wellness, including blood pressure checks, flu shots from East Troy Hometown Pharmacy, nutritional information, balance, memory and strength assessment by the ADRC of Walworth County, Open Arms Free Clinic information, digital posture screening and spinal health education from Wisconsin Spinal Rehabilitation Center. Check out book selections from the East Troy Lions Public Library, learn more about essential oils and meet with Snap Fitness representatives who will provide information on their gym facilities and programs. The Chapel will be open for prayer or quiet reflection.
