Kettle Moraine Land Trust Mother's Day Bird Walk

On Sunday, May 12th 2019 @ 8:30AM at Beulah Bog State Natural Area   Physical flyer

Join Kettle Moraine Land Trust for their annual Mother's Day Bird Walk on Sunday, May 12 from 8:30 - 11 a.m.

Jim Marrai, experienced birder, Derek Sallmann, Friends of the Mukwonago River, and Greg Rajsky, Executive Director, Kettle Moraine Land Trust will lead the bird walk. New this year -- the group will share a short introduction to birding: equipment, guides and photos, and list of birds you might expect to see. This walk is perfect for beginning birders, as well as those who are more experienced and want an early morning nature walk.

Bring Boots for the walk in the bog (the boardwalk may be slightly underwater) and binoculars and camera if you have them. Please make a reservation by emailing info@kmlandtrust.org or calling KMLT at 262-949-7211. Parking is limited and carpooling is encouraged.

Beulah Bog SNA features upland woodlands and prairies with a trail down to an undisturbed bog featuring distinctive vegetation more typically found further north.  The variety of habitats may harbor several species of birds to view and identify. Beulah Bog State Natural Area is located north of East Troy. The Bog parking lot is located .8 mile south of Country Highway J on Stringers Bridge Road.
