East Troy will honor veterans and active members of the military on Veterans Day, which is Saturday, Nov. 11.

The East Troy Loomis-Martin American Legion Post 188 and VFW East Troy Post 7501 will host an observance at East Troy Village Square Park, 2881 Main St., with a brief presentation at 10:45 a.m. and a rifle salute at 11:11 a.m. The group will step off from East Troy Legion Hall at 10:30 a.m and march to the square. 

The event will also feature the Village of East Troy’s second dedication of its Veteran’s Memorial improvements and new Honor Stone installation. 

About the Village of East Troy Veterans Memorial Honor Stone Project

The Village of East Troy Veterans Memorial, located on the west side of East Troy Village Square Park, dedicated to all military branches and veterans.

In 2023 the Village undertook a project to update the failing lighting of the Memorial Wall and replace aging concrete with pavers to allow Honor Stones to be offered dedicated to veterans.

The Honor Stone project encompasses the Memorial area backed by the red brick wall with emblems representing each branch of the military. The initial dedication of the Memorial improvements and new Honor Stone installation took place Memorial Day 2023.
