The new owner of the former East Troy Inn and Suites plans to extensively remodel the interior of the property and has selected a new franchise.
The former Country Inn and Suites has converted to a Quality Inn, a brand of Choice Hotels International, Inc.
The conversion will include several renovations to the 51-room hotel, located at 2921 O’Leary Lane just off of Interstate-43 at Highway 120.
“This property will be brand new – new carpets, beds, mattresses, flat screen TVs and the bathrooms will be remodeled. Everything will be in compliance with Quality Inn’s standards,” said Josh, the new hotel manager.
The lobby and rooms will have a contemporary look, according to Josh.
He said renovations to the heated indoor swimming pool were at the top of the to do list. The pool will continue to be shut down as the transformation continues, but Josh said he hopes to open it in early October.
“We are so excited to get the pool back and running,” he said.
The hotel changed ownership in the beginning of July following a public auction and business has been slowly picking up, according to Josh.
He said the new owners want to invest in the hotel in order to increase service and quality standards.
Choice Hotels International, Inc. has more than 6,300 hotels in the United States and more than 35 in other countries. The company’s Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, Quality, Sleep Inn, Clarion, Cambria hotels & suites, MainStay Suites, Suburban Extended Stay Hotel, Econo Lodge and Rodeway Inn brands, as well as its Ascend Hotel Collection membership program, serve guests worldwide.
The hotel currently in the process of hiring all new staff.
