LD’s BBQ, 1880 County Road ES, East Troy, will host its third annual Avie-Fest, a celebration of community and life in memory of Avielle Richman, on Saturday, Sept. 26 from noon to 7 p.m.

The event will feature live music and a rib-eating contest at 2:26 p.m. in honor of the 26 victims from the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting where Avielle lost her life. There will also be live music, silent auction, pie auction, bake sale and LD's famous menu.

Proceeds will benefit the Avielle Foundation, which works to prevent violence through brain health research and community development. For more information, visit www.aviellefoundation.org
